HOW DOES A CHAMELEON CHANGE ITS COLOR?
A Chameleon changes its color mainly due to the contraction and expansion of the cells. The contraction and expansion of the cells occur due to the difference in temperature, light and heat. When it is hot and dark, the chameleon changes its color to green. At low temperature and in the darkness, it changes its color to light yellow. Emotions also play a major role in the color change of a chameleon. When it is enraged or frightened it changes its color to black. On account of excitement it changes its color to dark yellow.
